Israeli student sent home for stripping at death camp

An Israeli student inappropriately revealed his buttocks in Majdanek, Poland, during the milestone trip to Poland which led to two students to be sent back to Israel, according to KAN, Israel’s public broadcaster.
Majdanek death camp, located in the outskirts of the Polish city of Lublin, was a German extermination camp built and run by the German SS.
According to the official Majdanek museum website, a total of 150,000 inmates of various backgrounds were imprisoned at Majdanek and 80,000 inmates were killed. Of the 80,000 prisoners who were murdered, 60,000 were of Jewish origin.
The event was captured in a photograph, which led to one of the students being questioned and fined.
The two students from northern Israel participated with the rest of their class in the milestone trip, known as Journey to Poland. High school students from across Israel visit Poland during their final year of schooling.
The trip is sponsored and subsidized by the Ministry of Education.
