It was a moment come true for Meteb Abdul Aziz Al Hodif, the youngest photographer in the Middle East. The 11-year-old Saudi boy realised his dream of photographing Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, on the sidelines of the ongoing Xposure, the international photography festival, which kicked off at Sharjah Expo Centre on Wednesday.
The skilled, pre-teen professional photographer, who caught the attention of visitors, loves to take pictures of the all Arab princes and sheikhs, to display them in his future photography exhibitions.
Al Hodif is a popular figure on the social media and has atten-ded a number of conferences and exhibitions with his professional lens and distinctive pictures. The boy stated that he was granted the title of the youngest photographer in the Middle East by the Guinness World Records. Hodif said that he started photography at the age of five and has won more than 50 prizes in photography competitions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, over the past few years. Abeer Al Selham, his mother, said that she spotted her son's talent when he was four years old and enrolled him in photography training courses.
"When he was six, I bought him his first camera, a Nikon, which he used to click the pictures of many Saudi princes and others," Al Selham added.
