Three made redundant at Bermuda Motors

Three people have been made redundant after Bermuda Motors announced it is closing its Kymco bikes division.

The company, which has been selling and servicing Kymco for more than ten years, said the employees were informed of the news yesterday.

It said it will focus only on core automotive brands moving forward and no other redundancies are expected.

Bermuda Motors general manager Krishna King said: “We would like to thank the employees for their dedication and service to Bermuda Motors over the years and we wish them the very best in their future endeavours.”

He added that customers can still buy parts from the firm’s parts department and management is working with a local provider to turn over servicing work. That local provider will be named “in due time”.
