President of Kyrgyzstan participates in SCO Summit in Qingdao

Qingdao, June 10, 2018. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov took part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the city of Qingdao, the Chinese province of Shandong. This is the first meeting of the heads of the SCO countries after joining of India and Pakistan.

After the solemn ceremony of the meeting of the heads of the SCO countries and joint photography, the meeting began in a narrow format.

Following the meeting, the leaders of the member countries of the organization will sign the final documents, after which President Xi Jinping will make a statement for the press.

At the end of the signing ceremony, the Chinese President's farewell ceremony will be held with the heads of state-members of the SCO.

The members of the SCO are Kyrgyzstan, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, India and Pakistan. The last two countries became full members of the SCO in 2017.

In addition, Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia have the status of observer state with the SCO. In addition, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Cambodia are partners in the dialogue.
